Positive associations to other animals, people and general “Life” from 0-20 weeks helps to create a happy, well-adjusted, take anywhere - social puppy. However, lack of early positive associations to these things can lead to a nervous, anxious, fearful and aggressive puppy. A well run puppy class can help give your puppy the best possible start to life. A puppy class run by a Delta Accredited Instructor means:

No Overcrowding. There will be no more than 6-8 puppies in any one class.

  • Puppy Play is evenly matched. Puppies will be matched with appropriate puppies to play with. Your puppy will not learn to be a bully or to be a victim.
  • No puppies will be forced to interact. Puppies will be allowed to find their confidence in their own time.
  • Puppies will not be subjected to old, outdated and cruel methods; like being “corrected” using methods like using Water Squirter bottles, being Alpha-Rolled (Pinned onto back until the puppy stops wriggling – a very traumatic experience for the puppy), ear pinched or forced into any position by the owner.

At a Nutts about Mutts Puppy Class, you will be taught using the most up to date methods of rewards based training. At Nutts about Mutts we have a DO NO HARM philosophy. Your dog will not be subjected to any methods of training that will cause physical or psychological harm.

Puppy Classes are on Thursday evenings at Parafield Gardens High School, Shepherdson Rd, Parafield Gardens. The classes are for a one hour duration and run for 4 weeks.
